How to extend the Life of Your Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry

Recently I have been getting questions about the quality of our jewelry. My most recent question came from one of my other networking sites and the question was, "Will this costume jewelry turn my mom's neck black?" I laughed at this question (of course it won't) and felt the need to begin a Q & A session. First, our jewelry is fashion jewelry and the quality in my opinion is exceptional! Everyone who buys Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry loves it!  Why?  Because they know and understand that it’s affordable, quality fashion jewelry from  a brand that speaks for itself. 

When purchasing fashion jewelry, it’s important to protect it in order to extend the life of the jewelry.  When fashion jewelry oxidizes, it can give away the fact that your jewelry isn't as real as it seems. Oxidization occurs when the materials are exposed to oils on the skin, perfume, lotion, makeup, light or moisture, resulting in a chemical reaction.  The result of the chemical reaction is a greenish or bronze color that can rub off on your skin. By preventing this chemical reaction from the beginning, you also prevent the unsightly color change in the jewelry.

Most Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry pieces are plated in rhodium to prevent the metal from oxidizing.  Below are a few tips to further help you extend the life of your Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry:

• Coat your Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry with a good protectant. This will slow down oxidization by minimizing exposure to air, skin, salt and humidity.  I, personally, treat each piece prior to the client receiving it.  It’s my way of ensuring that my customers get the most for their money.

• Remove jewelry promptly when finished and wipe it down with a soft, clean cloth. This removes any lingering traces of salt and oils that were transferred from the skin to the jewelry while being worn.  This is what causes oxidization.

• Store your Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry in the plastic bag that it comes in and also place anti-tarnish squares where you store your jewelry. Anti-tarnish squares are specially made to slow down the oxidization process and extend the life of your jewelry.  They are very inexpensive!  You can purchase them here.

• Store your Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry in a dark jewelry box to minimize exposure to light, another cause of oxidization, between wearings.

• Avoid applying sunscreen, lotions, cosmetics or perfume to areas near the  jewelry. These compounds speed up oxidization and aid in transferring oxidized metal to your skin, leaving a green or bronze stain. Apply your cosmetics prior to putting on your jewelry.

Mother's Day is Approaching!!!!

The Bible says about Motherhood: 
      Proverbs 31:28 - Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.
      Psalm 127:3 - Children area  gift from the Lord; babies are a reward.
      John 3:4 - Nothing gives me a greater joy than to hear that my children are following the way of truth.

Mother Day is approaching and this is the time where we honor our mothers, grandmothers and any other special women in our lives. We do this by buying gifts, taking them to dinner or any form of affection to show them we love them. Should this be done just once a year? No. We should honor our mothers and show them love and appreciation everyday. Not just with gifts but also with a simple "I love you," "I appreciate you." Every mother, aunt, grandmother, stepmother, foster mother or anyone who has a mother role should be appreciated and honored. Mothers love us unconditionally no matter what. They carry us for 9 months and give us life! They do what is necessary to make sure we have what we need and some of what we want. They sacrifice a lot to make sure we are taken care of. Even into adulthood.

I want to honor my mother because even as an adult, she still helps me out when I need it. She made gripe and argue, but in the end she does it and I know its because of her unconditional love for me and not wanting me to fail or be hurt. I wish I could do something grand for her because she takes care of all of her kids and grandkids before she does herself. Sometimes she doesn't get to do much for herself. But needless to say, I am GRATEFUL for my mom and don't know what I would do without her. So this Mothers Day, do something extra special. Show love all year round but go all out on May 12, 2013!

Word of the Day

Today's word is PURPOSE. It is defined as "the reason for which anything is done, created, or exists." There are three references in the Bible for this word; Psalm 138:8, Proverbs 3:5-6 and Mic. 6:8. Give the Lord some time out of your day to find out what your purpose is. In Proverbs (I love this one) "Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don't depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and He will giver you success." He has a PURPOSE for your life, you just have to take the time and LISTEN to Him and follow His lead to find it! Everything that happens in life has a PURPOSE behind it. Now it can be a positive purpose or a negative but remember everything happens for a reason and the wrong thing can have a negative consequence. Open your eyes, heart, and life to Him and He will guide it in the way you should go. Have a blessed day everyone!

Why I Love My Business

Everyone starts a business for a number of reasons. I have never really shared my reasons. So hear goes...

My step-mother approached me about this business a couple of years ago. I never thought I would go into direct sales again. I mean, I tried Avon before and it didn't work out. But when she told me that this business was as easy as wearing my jewelry...I was like I've got to try it! Now it did take me a couple of years to get on board, but when I did, I fell in love. I first encountered Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry at an Expo but did not know the name of the jewelry line. I bought a charm bracelet that I absolutely loved!

So why do I love my business? Because I love jewelry! This jewelry line has a style for EVERY woman! Bold, beautiful and elegant! Everyday wear, special occasion and even some nice subtle pieces for your wedding. I love wearing my jewelry everyday. I constantly get compliments on it which of course leads to new customers. I love meeting new people and hosting shows!

I also loved how easy it was to get started! I love being my own boss and the financial freedom I am on my way to achieving. I keep an inventory which allows me to sell on demand. That's immediate cash! I work on my own time as much or as little as I want! I'm there to pick my daughter up from school everyday and I am home to help her with her homework. I love what I do!

Most important...I love making women beautiful! I love helping women choose pieces that fit their style with grace and elegance! I love holding home shows and having a great time with the girls! I offer great hostess incentives and offer other ways to host a show! You can host online or a catalog show! You will still get the same incentives as an in home show! New Year New You 2013!

The New Year New You 2013 Wrap Party was a success! Congratulations to my aunt Nita for winning the Parachute necklace in the raffle and my sister LaTasha for winning the Pave necklace! Also another guest Gloria won a $25 gift certificate! Also It Works Rep Kristy was there to do wraps! I personally lost 5 inches that day, one guest 4.75 inches and another 2 inches! Worship.....

Worship is defined as: 1. To show profound devotion and respect to God. 2. To be devoted to and full of admiration for, and 3. To attend services for worship, glorify, reverence, venerate.

I am a firm believer that all things happen for a reason. Our lives were predetermined by God. He know what He has in store for your life. People want to blame Him for all of the terrible things that happen to them, however, if you worship and believe in Him. It takes more than just attending church on Sunday, but it is also how you live your life outside of church. Do not get me wrong, everyone makes mistakes, the key is learning from them, repent and do not make the same mistake over and over again. My God is a forgiving God.  Thank Him for all of the blessings He bestows upon you. Give praise!

The Bible says in Psalms 29:2; Give honor to the Lord for the glory of HIs name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.

Romans 12:1 says: So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life - and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.

Take time and give God a minimum of five minutes out of day. Pray, read a scripture or just speak to Him. Meditate and listen to Him speak to you. Show Him that you care and that you embrace His love and blessings. He's done so much for me that I give him the praise. Nothing good happens without the love and devotion of God. You cannot pray and expect things to happen right away. You have to put in your part of the work. If you want your business to rise, you have to take that first step. Whether it is putting out fliers or speaking to the person in line with you at the bank. 

When you pray, do not always ask for things, thank Him for some of the blessings He's bestowed upon you. Thank Him for waking you up. In the New Year, let God know daily how much you love Him and appreciate all He's done for you. We should have been doing this but let's step it up! I claim it and declare His blessings. I look forward to this year because I am opening my heart and mind to the blessings He's going to bless me with. He has a plan for me and I am ready to receive it! Until next time be blessed!
